L' attesa (The Waiting)

L’Attesa (The Waiting) by Venetian playwright Remo Binosi has a great dramatic force and is really captivating: even though the action is set in the 18th century, the themes and contents are universal: even today, so many years after it was written, it is a contemporary text, a characteristic that only great works have. The relationship between servant and mistress, the double, the great seducer Casanova, motherhood, evil, death - all are recounted with changes in narrative register: from comedy to drama, from noir to tragedy.

The language is original and surprising, with a natural comic force that guarantees a certain hold on the audience, comparable to that of Goldoni's and Eduardo's texts.
