Let me introduce you to the work: Nemesis

by Albrecht Dürer

Cultural exhibitions and events , Guided tour

Every week in June, the museum presents to the public a work from its collections, which is little known because it has not been exhibited for some time, or which needed restoration work: an unmissable opportunity to admire our local artistic heritage.

Every Tuesday at 17.30 the work is illustrated by a curator who accompanies the participants in its understanding and history.

Nemesis by Albrecht Dürer
Chiara Facchin

It became part of the museum's collections in 1994, and has not been on display in the museum for a long time for conservation reasons. The print reveals the great mastery achieved by the Germanic artist in the art of engraving.

In addition to the interesting allegorical subject, the small engraving presents a view of Chiusa, a South Tyrolean town designed by the artist during his Italian tour.

On that occasion, Dürer also travelled through Trentino , and immortalised the view of the city of Trento and the Buonconsiglio Castle in two fine watercolours.
