Luigi Senesi: Progetto cromo paesaggistico 1977

In 1977, ITEA (Istituto Trentino per l’Edilizia Abitativa - Trentino Housing Institute) commissioned the artist Luigi Senesi to undertake “a colour study for an imminent 82-unit residential complex in Povo, Trento”. This enlightened appointment came about because of the common interest in the connection between architecture and landscape of the Institute and of Senesi. The artist imagines the surface of the new building according to a chromatic vision that promote a perception of permeation or contrast between architecture, mountains and sky. In 1978, Senesi died prematurely and the project was abandoned.

The painting owned by ITEA and on long term loan at Mart is on display at Mart for the centenary of ITEA.
