Moulding Pain: the Mourners on the Dead Christ between the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Century

Meetings and conferences , Conference

"Can you imagine what a petrified scream is?": this is the suggestive question inspired to Gabriele D'Annunzio by a famous group of sculptures shaped with terracotta.

You can discover the strength of this petrified scream by following the conference dedicated to the Mourners on the Dead Christ that during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries proliferated in northern Italy, as engaging expressions of contemporary spirituality.

The video conference will deepen some cases of terracotta "Sepulchres" of Emilia-Romagna and their relationship, little known, with the tradition of pilgrimages to the Holy Land.
