In the dance lecture "Moving with Pina" Cristiana Morganti - for more than two decades a historic performer at the Tanztheater Wuppertal - offers a journey through Pina Bausch's universe, seen from the dancer's perspective.
How is a solo constructed? What is the relationship of emotion to movement? When does gesture become dance? What is the relationship between the dancer and the set? And most importantly, how is the mysterious and magical bond created between the artist and the audience?
With some live excerpts from the Tanztheater's repertoire, Cristiana Morganti recounts her artistic and human journey with the great German choreographer and lets us discover how much dedication, imagination and attention to detail are enclosed in the language of movement created by Pina Bausch.
