National Day of the Ecclesiastical Museums

If I exchange, I change

Cultural exhibitions and events

On occasion of the fourth National Day of the Ecclesiastical Museums, free admission to the Museo Diocesano Tridentino on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 October.

The National Day of the Ecclesiastical Museums has been conceived by the Associazione Musei Ecclesiastici Italiani (A.M.E.I.) as an initiative to promote the knowledge of this category of museums.

The fil rouge of this fourth edition is: exchange, change, contamination.

"If I exchange, I change" is in fact the motto for the event this year: the museums taking part are invited to meditate on the concept of exchance, by making an exchange (of works, images, public, ideas ...) with similar museums, but also with other cultural institutions and museums of the area.

As protagonist of the National Day of the Ecclesiastical Museums in Trentino in 2016, the Museo Diocesano Tridentino, has lent to the MUSE La creazione di Eva (The Creation of Eve), an important painting made by Tullio Garbari in 1928. The work is exhibited in the MUSE section dedicated to the story of evolution.

On the other hand, the MUSE has lent to the Museo Diocesano Tridentino a flying grey in flight, which artist Annamaria Gelmi has used for her installation Leukos in the palatine chapel of the museum.

Here's the PROGRAMME:
