Over Time - Videoinstallation

A video installation that explores, according to new perspectives, the relationship between human beings and the natural environment.
The project is among the 12 winners of the ninth edition of Italian Council (2020), a programme of international promotion of Italian art organised by the General Directorate for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage.
Laura Pugno's work develops the investigation of snow undertaken by the artist in 2018 and carried out in the different languages of painting, sculpture, photography, installation and in a cycle of works on paper dedicated to Wilson A. Bentley, photographer who first immortalized the snowflakes in the late nineteenth century.
Over Time investigates, while updating them, the reasons for our emotional bond and our need to live, study and recreate the snow in the Anthropocene era.
