FLUTE IMAGE OF WOMEN concert, a tour around the world on the wings of the flute, leafing through the monumental work on the female repertoire edited by the Abruzzo musician and musicologist Vilma Campitelli.
The shortlist of ten works presented at the Buonconsiglio Castle of Trento reveals some pages from the "Compendium musicae flauta", a ten-year research project collecting 15,000 titles of compositions from the flute repertoire, written by female composers between the 16th and 21st centuries.
Performers: Image Flute Quartet with Beatrice Petrocchi and Agnese Cingolani, 1st and 2nd flutes, Cecilia Troiani, G flute/C flute Vilma Campitelli, bass flute/C flute, with music by Sophie Lacaze, Enrica Sciandrone, Liz Sharma, Agnes Bashir, Marielli Sfakianaki.
