The Duchess of the Bal Tabarin
Café chantant-like atmospheres at the Social Theatre

First work by Carlo Lombardo, known also under the composer-pseudonym Léon Bard. Right in 1917, the most dramatic year of the war, Lombardo succeeds in offering the Italian public a theatre experience of oblivion and lightness of being.
In a game of infidelities and transgressions that combines the belle-époque of the French operetta with the Viennese spirit and with the taste of the "small form", typical of the Italian operetta, the song Frou Frou del Tabarin deserves to be included in the "Hit Parade" of the operetta repertoire.
It is possible to attend to two shows (The Duchess of the Bal Tabarin and La Bajadera ) with a ticket costing between 27 and 45 €.
