This thematic tour will guide participants to discover the images of the Val di Non martyrs Sisinius, Martyrius and Alexander preserved in the city of Trento.

The three saints, originally from Cappadocia, were sent by Saint Ambrose, bishop of Milan, to evangelise Anaunia and were brutally killed by pagans in the year 397.

Saint Vigilius collected their remains and laid them in Trento, near the Porta Veronensis, inside the basilica he had built.

The tour will wind its way through the rooms of the Tridentine Diocesan Museum where the evolution of the cult and the works depicting the three deacons will be illustrated. Visitors will then reach the chapel of Palazzo Fugger Galasso, normally closed to the public, which preserves an extraordinary cycle of wall paintings illustrating the story of the Cappadocian saints, embellished with an elaborate stucco decoration.
