The walking river

Transhumance from the Adriatic Sea to the Lagorai mountains

exhibition , Photographic exhibition

Photographic and poetic exhibition by Alberto Pattini.

Sheep are like migratory birds: when it's time to migrate we have to follow them "; this is what the poet and photographer Alberto Pattini wrote for the introduction of his exhibition “The walking river” which will be hosted at the Palazzo delle Albere in Trento from 10 June untill the end of the Summer.
The exhibition is the result of a work of observation of a flock of animals led by young and expert shepherds, moving from the Lagorai mountains (Trentino) to the pastures of the Venetian area by the Adriatic Sea and back, along the millenary route of the transhumance on which the Romans built the road Claudia Augusta Altinate.

Photographs and written texts on display retrace this journey and try to convey those beautiful emotions which nature can raise.

During the exhibition opening, some poems by Alberto Pattini will be read and music performances, folk dances, and some demonstrations of sheep shearing will also take place.
