Tridentine triumph

Cultural exhibitions and events

In the halls and gardens of the Castle, the most important public, political and festive events have taken place over the centuries. Based on this historical premise, as part of the 'Feste Vigiliane' programme, the 'Tridentine triumph' will be staged: an event that will fill the castle gardens in the afternoon, recreating the spirit of a Renaissance festival.

Allegorical and scenic elements, light games, music and dance, jugglers and court jesters will enliven the whole afternoon.

The stars of the 'Festa' will be historical re-enactors, artists, dancers, musicians and amateur actors, all dressed in Renaissance costumes, who will have as their specific literary reference the reconstruction of a feast held in 1547 at the court of Cardinal Cristoforo Madruzzo to celebrate the victory of Emperor Charles V over the Lutherans and described in a contemporary poem by Leonardo Colombino.

For the occasion, a spectacular procession of characters representing the figures of the Tarot and interpreted by Trentino noblewomen was also staged at the Buonconsiglio Castle.

At 7.30 p.m., the historical parade will start from the Buonconsiglio Castle and cross Via S. Marco, Via Manci and Via Belenziani to reach Piazza Duomo.
