Historic Houses Open Day: the Chapel of the Holy Martyrs of the Val di Non at Palazzo Fugger in Trento, the castles Castel Nanno and Castel Valer in Val di Non can be visited for free on 27 May

On 27 May the ADSI (Italian Historic Houses Association) will open the doors of over 300 historic houses, castles, villas, farmhouses, courtyards and gardens throughout Italy to welcome hundreds of thousands of Italian visitors and foreign tourists.

2018 is the European Year of Cultural Heritage, a year of events, activities and celebrations all around Europe to get people interested and involved in cultural heritage, and the Private Heritage Week will take place between 24 and 27 May.

On the occasion of this event, on Sunday 27 May, the Trentino Alto Adige / Südtirol section of the Italian Historic Houses Association will open to the public three sites belonging its members: the Chapel of the Holy Martyrs of the Val di Non at Palazzo Fugger in Trento, as well as the castles Castel Nanno and Castel Valer in Val di Non, which can be visited thanks to the collaboration of the Val di Non Tourism Company (which will manage guided tours to the two castles).

Chapel of the Holy Martyrs of the Val di Non at Palazzo Fugger in Trento (via Alfieri 11): guided tours will take place at 10.00, 11.00, 15.30, and at 16.30.

Castel Nanno must be reached after a short walk from the village of Nanno, where a car park will be set up in the municipal depot. The guided tours will have the following schedule: 10.00-11.00-14.00-15.00-16.00.

Castel Valer must be reached after a short walk from the village of Tassullo. The guided tours will have the following schedule: 10.30-11.30-14.30-15.30-16.30.

A photo competition will also be held on the occasion of the ADSI National Day, entitled "The castle in the 21st century". You can send one photo per competitor. Write the name of the author to the e-mail address trentino-altoadige@adsi.it

The council of the section will choose the most characteristic photos, which will be published on the Adsi website.
