Summer archaeology: a programme of activities to travel back in time

between history and nature

With the opening of the new Parco Archeo Natura (Archeo Nature Park) on 26 June, the summer of archaeology in Trentino is under way, and this year it is richer than ever in experiences of discovery and knowledge, thanks to a full programme of activities.

The initiatives, curated by the “Servizi educativi” (office for educational activities) of the Archaeological Heritage Office of the Department for Cultural Heritage, are also proposed until September in the network of museums and archaeological sites of the Department for Cultural Heritage

at the Museo delle Palafitte di Fiavé (Fiavé Pile Dwellings),

at TRIDENTVM S.A.S.S. - Spazio Archeologico Sotterraneo del Sas (Sas Underground Archaeological Space),

at the Museo Retico di Sanzeno  (Rhaetic Museum of Sanzeno),

at the Acqua Fredda archaeological sites (Passo del Redebus) and Monte San Martino in Lundo,

in San Martino ai Campi,

in Monte San Martino nel Lomaso.

Workshops for children and adults, demonstrative archaeology, guided tours, theatrical performances, archaeotrekking, readings and music: there are many opportunities for curious people and enthusiasts of all ages to discover the history and daily life of the most ancient populations in Trentino, accompanied by archaeologists.

The programme is available at the S.A.S.S. in Trento, at the Museo Retico of Sanzeno, at the Museo delle Palafitte, at the Parco Archeo Natura di Fiavé, and online on the Trentino Cultura website:  Summer archaeology 2021
