The Art of sharing
European Heritage Days on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September: here’s the programme by the Cultural Heritage Directorate of Trento.
The European Heritage Days are taking place on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September. “The Art of sharing” is the common theme for this year.
The initiative is promoted by the Council of Europe and by the European Commission; the Archaeological Heritage Office of the Department for Cultural Heritage of the Autonomous Province of Trento joins the event too, and proposes activities at the Museo Retico di Sanzeno, il Museo delle Palafitte di Fiavé e lo Spazio Archeologico Sotterraneo del Sas, such as meetings with archaeologists, workshops and guided visits.
During the European Heritage Days, doors are opened to lots of monuments and sites (some of them normally closed to the public), allowing people to enjoy free visits, learn about their shared cultural heritage and become actively involved in the safeguarding of Europe's heritage for present and future generations.

Discovering Tridentum. The Underground city
Archaeological tour into the heart Trento, from the S.A.S.S. - Spazio Archeologico Sotterraneo del Sas to the the Early Christian basilica of Saint Vigilius. Event organised by the office for educational activities of the Archaeological Heritage Office (Department for Cultural Heritage), and by the Tridentine Diocesan Museum.
Meeting place at theS.A.S.S. - Spazio Archeologico Sotterraneo del Sas at 15.30. Booking required by phone:0461 230171(by midday on the day of the event); € 4 – the admission ticket includes the visit to the archaeological sites, maximum 35 visitors.

Archaeological site “Acqua Fredda” - Bedollo, Passo del Redebus
“All’idea di quel metallo” (“Fancy that metal!”)
Guided visit to the archaeological site “Acqua Fredda” and activity of experimental archeology for children and adults to discover the secrets about metal processing (with expert Enrico Belgrado). After that, visit to the surrounding nature reserve curated by Paola Barducci.

Tales at the peatland: the importance of peat for the peoples living in Fiavé - Guided visit
The peat and lake sediments of the ancient lake of Fiavé-Carera have preserved many traces and finds that help us reconstruct aspects of the daily life in prehistoric villages; at the same time they were important social and economic resources for the local population.
