The Buonconsiglio Castle invites families to the castle

A July rich of events in the luxurious residence of the prince-bishop

[ Castello del Buonconsiglio]

A lot of appointments for families who want to discover the Buonconsiglio Castle by sharing interesting and entertaining experiences and having fun!

Fairy tale of paper

Buonconsiglio Castle - Thursday 5 July at 15.00

Sly foxes and envious frogs, clever storks and conceited ravens, mocking wolves and placid oxes are just some of the animal protagonists of the fairy tales (by Fedro and Esopo), frescoed in the lunettes of the Stua della Famea, the place in which the episcopal court gathered to eat and... to learn!

After the event, children can take part in a creative workshop to create their own Fairy tale of paper

Let's paint a potrait

Stenico Castle - Wednesday 11 July at 15.00

Thun Castle - Friday 27 July at 15.00

Which were the faces of the noblemen who enlivened the courts and the ancient rooms of the castle? After having carefully observed their potraits with artist’s eye, it will be fun to paint special potraits or self-potraits by taking cues from the works on exhibition. An opportunity to play and transform your identity, combining the details of your own and others’ faces.

Looking upwards

Buonconsiglio Castle - Thursday 19 July at 15.00

At the Magno Palazzo, visitors will meet the portayals of a lot of Olympian divinities. After observing their symbols and listening to their adventures, you will make a little book to tell about the adventures of mythical Phaëton, which are represented on the Loggia del Romanino.

End of a skein

Stenico Castle - Wednesday 25 July at 15.00

Through frescos and objects on display in some rooms of the castle, families will discover the wonderful story of processing wool, and its usage at home. Children can join an appealing workshop to create a small cloth with the loom.

Castle’s stories

Buonconsiglio Castle - Thursday 26 July at 15.00

Stories of animals, ghosts, princes and princesses, fantasy or maybe true stories, fascinating and compelling: castle’s stories will be told in the suggestive frame of the Buonconsiglio Castle to children and adults looking for enchantment.

After visiting the castle, families can join a workshop to make their own little book to bring home!
