The archaeological sites of Roman Trento

 will be open on Thursday 25 April and Wednesday 1 May

On Thursday 25 April and on 1 May, the archaeological sites of Roman Trento - the S.A.S.S. Spazio Archeologico Sotterraneo del Sas  | Sas Underground Archaeological Space, under Piazza Cesare Battisti, and the Villa romana di Orfeo  | Roman Villa of Orpheus, in via Rosmini -, the Museo Retico  | Rhaetian Museum of Sanzeno, the Parco Archeo Natura  | Archaeological Park "Archeo Natura" of Fiavé and the Museo delle Palafitte di Fiavé  | Fiavé Pile dwelling Museum will be open to the public for a time travel, to discover the most ancient side of Trentino.

In the Sas Underground Archaeological Space you can visit the exhibition Dalla terra il futuro. Viaggio nei 150 anni della Fondazione Edmund Mach (From the earth, the future. Journey through 150 years of the Edmund Mach Foundation) - opening times:9-13/14-17.30).

As part of the Trento Film Festival, on Sunday 28 April at 18:30, the Roman Villa of Orpheus will host the meeting Mountain Podcasters.

The Archaeological Park "Archeo Natura"and the Fiavè Pile dwelling Museum (open from 13.00 to 18.00) will take you to the pile-dwelling village that stood on the shores of the Carera lake 3,500 years ago. On 28 April at 14.00 children and their families will have the opportunity to take part in a workhop to get to know and experience the different activities carried out in the Bronze Age pile dwellings: https://www.cultura.trentino.it/eng/Events/Pile-dweller-me-too12

The Rhaetian Museum in Sanzeno, which can be visited from 14.00 to 18.00, the interesting trail that winds through the "well of time", tells the ancient history of the Val di Non Valley, from prehistory to the early Middle Ages, with a special section dedicated to the Raeti, the pre-Roman population that inhabited the valley in the Iron Age.
