Il master itinerante Roaming Academy del Dutch Art Institute di Arnheim (NL) torna a Centrale Fies per concludere il suo percorso didattico biennale con la presentazione delle azioni performative sviluppate da studentesse e studenti.

Ogni atto, della durata di 20 minuti, propone una domanda come pratica di coinvolgimento e relazione. Le e gli ospiti invitati a rispondere — Adam HajYahia, Antonia Majaca e Zairong Xiang — entreranno in risonanza con queste domande, offrendo riflessioni improvvisate e condivise per aiutarci a pensare ciò che i 41 studenti e studentesse diplomandi incarnano e propongono attraverso i loro lavori.

Gli ACTS sono curati da Elisa Giuliano, che accompagnerà il pubblico introducendo ciascun atto.

E l’alba, allora? Hai chiesto — luce filtrata attraverso la cenere, un cielo che ricorda troppo. Ci sono cose da fare ogni giorno — lavarsi, studiare, giocare — eppure le mani tornano sempre macchiate. E quelle visioni che dicevi fossero tue e mie? Sogni, allora: che cosa sono? Non una fuga, non una consolazione, ma semi addormentati, una prova generale per un mondo che rifiuta di restare intrappolato nei miti accecanti.

Ci sono cose da fare ogni notte — chiudere gli occhi, dormire, sognare. Ti sei mai fermato a notare che il copione può ancora essere riscritto? A smettere di piangere abbastanza a lungo da ascoltare? «Succhio la ferita», sussurra una poeta; la distanza è un’illusione fragile.

«Mettiamo una maglia», dice qualcuno — il sole se ne sta andando.

Ma nel buio, se facciamo attenzione, se rifiutiamo il finale già assegnato, le visioni si accendono: piccole fiamme indisciplinate che domandano, piano, ostinatamente:

What about sunrise, you asked—light filtered through ash, a sky that remembers too much. There are things to do each day—lavarsi, studiare, giocare—and yet the hands return stained. What about the visions you said were yours and mine? Dreams, then—what are they? Not escape, not consolation, but sleeping seeds, a rehearsal for a world that refuses to be trapped in blinding myths. There are things to do each night—chiudere gli occhi, dormire, sognare. Did you ever stop to notice that the script can still be rewritten, stop weeping long enough to listen. “I suck the wound,” a poet whispers, distance is a fragile illusion. Mettiamo una maglia, someone says—the sun is going away. But in the dark, if we are careful, if we refuse the given ending, visions flare—small, disobedient flames—asking, quietly, what about the dawn?

Each act of 20 minutes offers a question as a practice of engagement.  Esteemed respondents Adam HajYahia, Antonia Majaca, and Zairong Xiang are invited to vibe with the questions and offer their improvised, spoken reflections to help us think through what is embodied and proposed by our 41 graduating students. 

The ACTS are curated by Elisa Giuliano who will also introduce us to each of them. Saverio Cantoni has been invited as the 2026 Guest Writer.  The program is initiated and convened by Gabriëlle Schleijpen.
