Museum of agricultural equipment and crafts of the community of Canezza - Portolo

Collection of objects and tools that were once used by the dairy cooperative, in homes and in village workshops.

The museum, set up by the Association for the Display of Agricultural and Craft equipment of Canezza-Portolo displays objects and tools that were once used by the dairy cooperative, in homes and in village workshops. Each section names the artisan to whom the exhibits belonged: dairy, sausage-maker (‘Salumificio’), blacksmith, miller, carpenter, cooper, cobbler, "dàlmedre" maker, weaver, rope-maker, saddler and ‘peasant world’. Also on display is the Canezza church clock dated 1913, and the old pump from the Fire Brigade. Detailed descriptions of the exhibits give the nomenclature in Italian and in the local dialect.
