Town band museum - Pergine Valsugana

Collection of antique musical instruments, sheet music, posters and manuscripts, photographs and concert programs.

Founded April 22, 1900, under the statute 6 March 1901 by the Imperial Lieutenancy of Innsbruck, the Town band of Pergine, headquartered in Via Pontara, exhibits memorabilia and documents of its century-long history. The important social and historical events which the Band honoured with its performances are shown using photographs and concert programs. On one wall, the layout of instruments reflects the disposition of the Band during public concerts while antique musical instruments, sheet music, posters and manuscripts are shown in display cases. Also interesting is a banner for the Pergine Fanfare dated 1885 and the historical uniforms of the bandsmen. ‘Music’ is the theme of a collection of modern art on display in the hall, donated by Perginese artists to the Band. The Museum is open during Band trials and is also home to concerts and auditions.
