Contemporary Art Day

For the 18th Giornata del Contemporaneo - Italian Contemporary Art Day, the great event organized annually by AMACI (Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums), there will be at the Mart a rich programme of free events including workshops, guided tours and screenings on the theme of sustainability.

In addition, free admission to the exhibitions at the MART (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Rovereto) and the Casa d'Arte Futurista Depero (Depero Futurist House of the Arts ) of Rovereto, the Galleria Civica (Civic art gallery ) of Trento, and Palazzo delle Albere .

Workshop for secondary schools
The workshop deals with a selection of works by Giuliano Vangi (on display at the Mart) focusing on the relationship between human beings and nature, and with "The Cool Couple" short film screened in the conference room.

The film chronicles a particular model of wildlife conservation, peculiar to South Africa: the so-called wildlife industry. The expression 'the cute and the useful', in fact, identifies the species that will survive the current mass extinction because of their bond, affective or economic, with humans.
