August 15th in the Museums and Castles of Trentino

On 15 August, a holiday stop par excellence, there are indeed many cultural proposals in Trentino's Museums and Castles, which come alive with exhibitions, games, workshops, guided tours, historical re-enactments and walks under the stars.

All provincial castles are open on Monday 15 August from 10 to 18, with a rich schedule: At the  Buonconsiglio Castle don't miss “I colori della Serenissima. Pittura veneta del Settecento in Trentino” | "The colours of the Serenissima "; at the Caldes Castle the great photography of Magnum Photos ; at the Thun Castle the exhibition “Un bacio tra due mondi. L’Atala di Innocenzo Fraccaroli”| "A kiss between two worlds. Atala by Innocenzo Fraccaroli "; at the Stenico Castle Rembrandt's graphic masterpieces  and the event “Dell’arte della caccia e della falconeria” |"The art of falconry "; at Castel Beseno historical re-enactments, in collaboration with the Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara di Trento.

Open doors also at the museums curated by the Department for Cultural Heritage, for a full immersion, between archaeology and nature, in the daily life of the first inhabitants of Trentino: Museo Retico (Rhaetic Museum) - Centre for the archaeology and ancient history of the Val di Non ,  Museo delle Palafitte di Fiavé (Fiavé Pile dwelling Museum) , Parco Archeo Natura di Fiavé (Archaeological Park "Archeo Natura" of Fiavé)  and Spazio Archeologico Sotterraneo del Sas ( TRIDENTVM S.A.S.S. - Spazio Archeologico Sotterraneo del Sas / Sas Underground Archaeological Space) . There's also the Museo degli Usi e Costumi della Gente Trentina (Trentino Folklife Museum)  with the exhibition "I Suoni di Vaia"("Vaia storm sounds").

Other proposals include the major exhibitions at the Mart in Rovereto, with Alex Katz and Giuliano Vangi , among others, and in Trento with the Banksy exhibition .

The MUSE - Science Museum is open daily with two exhibitions, dedicated respectively to "Toby " - huge white rhinoceros from the Parco Natura Viva nature park - and to the cave paintings of the Lascaux Cave.  The Muse satellite museums, are open too: the The Alpine botanic garden on Monte Bondone , the Stars Terrace , the Predazzo geology museum  and the Museum of Pile dwellings in Molina di Ledro . The latter celebrates 50 years of activity, right on 15 August.

At the MAG - Alto Garda Museum the preparatory drawings made by Michelangelo for the Sistine Chapel are on display in the exhibition: Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel in the autographed drawings of Casa Buonarroti

The Fondazione Museo storico del Trentino (Trentino history museum foundation),proposes several exhibitions at the the Tunnels of Piedicastello  (Trento), not to forget Fort Cadine with the exhibition Paesaggi forti , and the Gianni Caproni Aeronautical Museum  with the exhibition dedicated to the motorcycle "Il Capriolo ".
